The CareGive ‘Sundown Orange’ full sun and well-drained to slightly dry soil. It will bloom most heavily when conditions are dry. If over-watered, even in the desert, it will produce too much foliage and insufficient color. It has a large fibrous root system that resents disturbance, so when planting a nursery purchase, keep the rootball intact. This is a queen of climbers for walls, fences, arbors, shade structures, gazebos, and it even thrives climbing onto roofs or into tree tops.
