Liriope: Variegated Mondo Latin Name: ophiopogon japonicus ‘variegata’
The Basics This perennial evergreen grass is dense with dark green stemless foliage with variegated pale yellow to white edges. During summer experience spikes of tiny, stunning lilac flowers. Its clumping growth habit reaches only 1-2 feet tall(2-3 feet wide). This ornamental grass is widely used in rock gardens, seashore plantings, borders and small-scale groundcover.
